Dhurandhar Movie Story Explained

Inspired by real events, Dhurandhar revolves around Mission Dhurandhar, one of India’s earliest major intelligence operations launched after the 2001 Indian Parliament attack.

Ranveer Singh plays Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an undercover operative sent to infiltrate a dangerous criminal network in Karachi. Using the alias Hamza Ali Mazar, he joins the Lyari gang led by the ruthless gangster Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna). As Jaskirat climbs the ranks, he secretly works to dismantle the organization from within.

The story also features R. Madhavan as IB Director Ajay Sanyal, Arjun Rampal as ISI agent Major Iqbal, and Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam. The film blends espionage, action, and emotional drama, keeping viewers hooked throughout its 214-minute runtime.

Dhurandhar earned over ₹319 crore worldwide, firmly establishing itself as a blockbuster. Due to its massive success, the makers have officially announced Dhurandhar 2, scheduled for release on March 19, 2026.
