High Alert Ahead of Republic Day: Delhi Police Puts Up Posters of Wanted Terrorists
Ahead of India’s Republic Day celebrations, Delhi Police has placed the national capital on high alert and displayed posters of wanted terrorists at key locations across the city. The move is part of intensified security measures aimed at preventing any untoward incident during the high-profile national event.
According to senior police officials, the posters feature details of suspected terrorists and individuals linked to extremist networks who are believed to pose a potential threat to public safety. These posters have been installed at crowded places, transport hubs, border checkpoints, and other sensitive areas to enhance public awareness and encourage citizen participation in maintaining security.
Republic Day, celebrated on January 26 every year, marks the adoption of the Constitution of India and is one of the country’s most significant national events. The main parade and ceremonies held in New Delhi attract top political leaders, foreign dignitaries, and thousands of spectators, making the occasion a sensitive target from a security standpoint.
